Forbes published in February of this year the “America’s Best Employers of 2022” list.
The list highlighted the work of America’s Best Employers after more than 60,000 U.S. employees voted to rate companies that employ at least 1,000 people in their U.S. operations.
Each employee voted anonymously through a number of online panels. In this way, employees were able to express their opinion as openly as possible.
The survey was conducted with companies participating in all industry sectors, as long as they had a minimum of 1,000 employees in their workforce. Each employer was grouped into one of the 25 industrial sectors.
In order to carry out a rating, as objective as possible, Forbes followed two clear criteria:
- Direct recommendation.
- Indirect recommendation.
In the first case, employees were asked to rate how willing they would be to recommend their employers to their family or friends, directly. All responses were analyzed on a scale of 0 to 10. Where 0 meant: “I wouldn’t recommend my employer under any circumstances” and 10 meant: “I would definitely recommend my employer”.
In the second case, participants were asked to express their opinion on work-related issues such as: working conditions, salary, development potential, and the company’s image with respect to their current employer.
Finally: the top 5 direct selling companies, within the 500 U.S.
mid-sized employer category, were:
Melaluca in 366th,
Herbalife in 305th,
Scentsy in 230th,
Mary Kay in 282nd,
and Nu Skin Enterprises in 57th place.
